Funded PhD positions; in Computer modelling of greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture and land use change; at School of Global Studies; University of Sussex; in UK

Project Description

A high priority for global climate protection is reducing greenhouse emissions from agriculture and land use change. These now account for around one tenth to one-fifth of all global greenhouse gas emissions. Hence, it is crucial to understand how different forms of sustainable and unsustainable agriculture influence the rate of emissions,

Funded PhD position; in Design, characterization and application of magnifying X-ray crystal optics (Bragg Magnifier) for dose-efficient imaging of biological model organisms; at University Heidelberg; in Germany

This PhD position is part of the collaborative research project CODE-VITA funded by the federal German ministry (BMBF). Within this collaboration and beyond, the Centre for Organismal Studies (COS) of the University Heidelberg collaborates closely with the Laboratory for Application of Synchrotron Radiation (LAS) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in the field of biological X-ray imaging.
