The selected candidate will be hired for a full-time position of assistant. The successful candidate will supervise practical sessions associated with the classes given in Geology at ULB (for a maximum of 300 hours per year face to students). In parallel, the candidate will carry out a doctoral thesis on the general theme of the geochemistry of atmospheric dust (natural-volcanic and / or anthropogenic), their sources, their transformation and transport processes or their impacts in deposition environments. The specific subject of the thesis will be discussed and built in collaboration with the candidate, depending in particular on their interests. This work will be done mainly within the G-Time and B-GéoSys research units of the DGES Department. The successful candidate will also work in close collaboration with other research institutions abroad.
The candidate will be in charge of the practical sessions in Earth Sciences, including e.g., petrography, mineralogy, ore deposits, crystallography, geochemistry, …
