Funded PhD position; in Chemical Bond Activation; at University of Oldenburg; in Germany

The Research Training Group (RTG) Aktivierung chemischer Bindungen / Chemical Bond Activation (GRK 2226), funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), invites applications for

1 PhD position
(salary E 13 TV-L, 67%)

for three years starting at the earliest possible date .

Candidates are required to have an academic university degree (Master of Science or Diploma) in chemistry or closely related fields. The willingness to work on an interdisciplinary PhD project and good English language skills are expected.

The scientific aim of the RTG is the development of new methods for the selective activation of less reactive C-H bonds and the significant improvement of existing methods with regard to efficiency, selectivity, scope and robustness. This will be achieved by interdisciplinary research projects which focus on a number of selected important C-H bond activation reactions. Participating research groups and details about single projects can be found on the website of the RTG ( ). Please indicate up to three projects in your application and rank them according to your personal preference.
