The position can start earliest on 1st May 2018 and is initially limited for the duration of 3 years.
In an international working atmosphere, we offer a research topic focussing on the question of how tetraspanin proteins form functional microdomains in the cell membrane (for further reading see Homsi et al., Biophysical Journal, 2014; Schmidt et al., Biophysical Journal, 2016).
We expect the candidate to be highly motivated, open-minded, and eager to learn. He/she should have graduated in biochemistry or another related subject and be familiar with standard cell biology and molecular biology techniques. Moreover, the candidate should be experienced with or have a deep interest in biophysical techniques, in particular in superresolution microscopy imaging.
